We use highly transparent plastics such as PC and PMMA, combined with high-quality mold steel and high-precision molding processes, to produce highly transparent components free of bubbles, flow marks, and internal stress. XINXIU has extensive experience in transparent injection molding and specializes in materials such as PC, PMMA, PET, and PS, effectively resolving issues such as white haze, silver streaks, and bubbles. Equipped with Sumitomo high-speed injection molding machines and a dust-free production facility, we ensure high surface finish and optical clarity, with light transmittance exceeding 90%.
2K/3K injection moulding
2K/3K two-colour injection moulding technology enables the sequential moulding of two or three different materials on a single machine, facilitating complex product designs that combine soft and hard materials and feature multi-colour combinations. As this process eliminates the need for subsequent assembly, it significantly enhances production efficiency and product reliability, and is widely used in sectors such as automotive interior components, power tool handles, two-colour handles for consumer goods, and buttons for electronic devices. XINXIU is equipped with 10 specialised two-colour injection moulding machines, capable of meeting custom requirements for a wide range of two- and three-colour products.
Insert Moulding
Insert molding involves placing various metal inserts (copper, stainless steel, aluminum), threaded inserts, terminals, and other pre-installed components into a mold, where they are encapsulated and secured by molten plastic, thereby achieving the integration of different materials into a single unit. XINXIU possesses extensive experience in insert molding. We utilize high-precision automated positioning fixtures and secure inserts via magnetic or vacuum suction, ensuring precise positioning and no displacement during the injection molding process, with threaded hole alignment accuracy of ±0.01 mm.
IMD/IML In-Mould Decoration and In-Mould Label
IMD (In-Mold Decoration) and IML (In-Mold Labeling) technologies involve placing pre-printed films or labels into a mold and molding them together with molten plastic, resulting in a permanent bond between the decorative layer and the product. XINXIU specializes in IMD/IML mold design and molding processes, enabling precise control over film positioning and molding pressure to ensure accurate placement of the decorative layer, clear patterns, and a strong bond. ABS injection moulding
ABS is an acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer that combines chemical resistance, toughness and surface gloss, offering excellent overall performance.
✓ Advantages: High strength, good toughness, excellent surface gloss, good processability, good dimensional stability, excellent low-temperature performance (-20°C), good electrical insulation properties, and good value for money.
✓ Limitations: Poor weather resistance; modification is required for outdoor use; limited heat resistance (HDT ~90–100°C); poor UV resistance; flammable and requires flame-retardant modification.
PC injection moulding
PC is a high-performance engineering plastic renowned for its excellent transparency, impact resistance and heat resistance, and is often referred to as ‘transparent metal’.
✓ Advantages: Light transmittance of over 90%, excellent impact resistance, good heat resistance (HDT ~120–130°C), dimensional stability, and optional flame retardant grades.
✓ Disadvantages: Requires strict pre-drying prior to processing (moisture content ≤0.02%); relatively poor chemical resistance; low surface hardness making it prone to scratching; and a relatively high price.
PC/ABS injection moulding
PC/ABS alloys are blends of polycarbonate and ABS, combining the impact resistance and heat resistance of PC with the processability and flow properties of ABS.
✓ Advantages: Balanced stiffness and toughness, excellent overall performance, superior heat resistance compared to ABS (HDT ~110–120°C), good impact resistance, dimensional stability, and high surface gloss.
✓ Disadvantages: Poor chemical resistance, susceptible to solvent attack; high moisture absorption requiring pre-drying; higher cost than ABS; average weather resistance requiring modification.
PET injection moulding
PET is a versatile thermoplastic renowned for its strength, transparency and chemical resistance. It is primarily classified into two forms: amorphous PET (A-PET) and crystalline PET (C-PET).
✓ Advantages: Excellent transparency, high tensile strength (50–60 MPa), good chemical resistance, FDA food-grade certification, 100% recyclable, outstanding gas barrier properties, and good dimensional stability.
✓ Disadvantages: Requires thorough pre-drying prior to processing (moisture content ≤0.005%), limited heat resistance (HDT ~70°C), susceptible to UV degradation without stabilisers, crystallisation can affect transparency, and processing temperatures are higher than for many other plastics.
PMMA injection moulding
PMMA, commonly known as acrylic or plexiglass, is a thermoplastic material characterised by high transparency and excellent weather resistance.
✓ Advantages: Light transmittance of over 92%, excellent optical properties, high surface hardness and scratch resistance, strong weather resistance and UV resistance, and lower cost than PC.
✓ Disadvantages: Poor impact resistance and high brittleness, notch sensitivity leading to easy cracking; limited heat resistance (HDT ~70–100°C); moderate chemical resistance, susceptible to attack by organic solvents.
pp injection moulding
PP is a lightweight thermoplastic characterised by low density, good chemical resistance and cost-effectiveness; it is widely used in food packaging and everyday consumer goods.
✓ Advantages: Low density offering significant weight-saving benefits; good chemical resistance to acids and alkalis; food-grade and FDA-certified; low cost; excellent fatigue resistance, making it suitable for hinge designs.
✓ Disadvantages: Limited heat resistance (HDT ~60–100°C); poor low-temperature toughness and prone to embrittlement; high shrinkage (1.5–2.5%); low surface gloss; and poor UV resistance.
